OUR KEY PROJECTS
This Avenue of Service focuses on developing the next generation of leaders. The goal is to help build leadership skills, expand education, and help our youth learn the value of service.
Scholarships
- With the belief that all youth deserve the opportunity for continued success, the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead and the Lake Arrowhead Rotary Foundation are committed to providing financial assistance for students in middle school, high school, and those on their way to higher education.
- Every year, we are thrilled to award at least $18,000 in scholarships.
- Scholarships are awarded in multiple categories including academics, community service, leadership, art, music, business, education, vocational careers, and needs-based. learn more
PRYDE
- PRYDE is the acronym for Rotary District 5330's most exciting program, the Personal Rotary Youth Development Experience--a leadership retreat for 7th grade students who live or attend school in Rotary District 5330.
- PRYDE 2025 will take place November 22nd and 23rd at Thousand Pines Conference Center in Crestline.

RYLA
- RYLA in District 5330 is the largest overnight RYLA in the Rotary world. With over 600 kids broken out over two weekends.
- The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a three-day leadership conference. It is a reward for outstanding youth to further develop their leadership skills. Sponsored by 63 Rotary clubs in District 5330, RYLA combines learning in a casual, relaxed atmosphere with social and fun time to provide a fast paced and memorable leadership experience.
- RYLA is held over two weekends at Thousand Pines Conference Center in Crestline. Students report to a designated bus pickup on the Friday of their weekend and return Sunday afternoon.
- Six hundred high school Juniors are selected from all public and private high schools within District 5330 along with 60 Rotarians and additional camp staff.
- High school Juniors are selected on the basis of leadership potential, personal values, intelligence, and potential for future success.
Interact
- The Interact Club of Lake Arrowhead is a community service club for Rim of the World High School students that is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead and the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead Mountain Sunrise The club's activities include working with mountain seniors, fundraisers for international charities, and toy drives.
- The Interact Club is part of Rotary International, and its name comes from the words "international" and "action". The club's objectives include:
- Developing leadership skills and personal integrity
- Demonstrating respect for others and helpfulness
- Understanding the value of hard work and individual responsibility
- Advancing international goodwill and understanding
Students who join Interact can gain skills in teamwork, project management, and leadership. They can also make a difference in the mountain community and demonstrate citizenship.
